The Rolls-Royce Phantom Gallery is A Truly One-Of-A-Kind Space For Exhibiting Bespoke Art Within Your Automobile

Phantom's fascia is very remarkable in that it runs the full length of it. It's called The Gallery, and it's been designed to contain one-of-a-kind creative works. A continuous glass shell that protects and displays artwork inside your automobile. A first-of-its-kind facility for curating and commissioning fine and contemporary art. A gallery that showcases and reflects our consumers' likes, aspirations, and personalities. It was commissioned and conceived by the Rolls-Royce Bespoke Collective and executed by Alastair Gibson, who gained skills in constructing carbon fibre sculptures while competing in Formula 1. Collectors throughout North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, the Middle East, and his home South Africa treasure the carbon-fiber artist's work, which can be shown in galleries worldwide.

A continuous glass application extends across the fascia of the New Rolls-Royce Phantom, allowing you an unparalleled chance to showcase artwork inside your automobile. Recognizing that Rolls-Royce clients are becoming collectors of great and contemporary art, the Rolls-Royce Design Team created a place behind this glass for patrons to commission and curate art, suitably titled 'The Gallery.'

"As patrons increasingly commission a Rolls-Royce for its aesthetic strength, they trust that only the finest materials fashioned by a collective of skilled artisans will result in a motor car that transcends its primary function as a mode of transportation to become a meaningful and substantive expression of art, design, and engineering excellence. The Gallery is an advancement in Rolls-unmatched Royce's Bespoke capabilities. Patrons may now commission artworks for their own personal Gallery inside Phantom, thereby bringing art within art."
Torsten Müller tvös, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, said.

Rolls-reputation Royce's as the designer of the world's most iconic products is founded on an intimate grasp of what genuine luxury is. This attitude has compelled the marque's collection of designers, craftspeople, and engineers to continually improve the canvas on which luxury customers may express their preferences and lifestyle needs.

The Rolls-Royce Design team's primary job is to comprehend and immerse themselves in a realm of luxury that extends well beyond automotive frontiers. Taking inspiration from the realms of fashion, art, and design, the group is constantly examining the work of masters in their disciplines, honing skills and expanding knowledge in order to push the limits beyond the constraints often faced by automotive designers.

The design team accomplished just this with 'The Gallery.' 'The Gallery' is a location for curating and commissioning, for exhibiting, admiring, and reflecting. A continuous line of pure glass runs unbroken over the fascia of the world's finest luxury item, an innovation that advances Rolls-unmatched Royce's Bespoke vision and mastery of materials and craftsmanship.

"The Phantom's instrument panel's pared-down and symmetrically balanced linework frames a large and delightfully simple use of glass. It runs parallel to the fascia, emphasising the feeling of breadth. It is the main point of the interior of New Phantom, giving an ideal setting for artworks. This glass treatment allows unparalleled opportunities for the conservation and exhibition of pieces of art, which is why we've rightly titled it 'The Gallery.'"
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars' Director of Design, Giles Taylor, said.

From a straightforward application of wood or metal to a more intricate usage of materials that are not typically possible in an automobile setting and accentuated by relief, 'The Gallery' elevates the patron's experience of curation with the brand.

In this spirit, Alex Innes, Bespoke Designer at Rolls-Royce and Creative Lead Designer for 'The Gallery' Artist Commissions, has asked artists and skilled craftspeople from across the globe to interpret 'The Gallery'.

FOX SILVER ASTRUM

A star emerges from the centre of a platinum-encased single brilliant cut diamond. Solid silver spears with pear-cut amethysts seem to float above their magnificent background. Astrum, created in collaboration with Alex Innes of Rolls-Royce Bespoke Design and Richard Fox of Fox Silver, is a genuine work of art that takes centre stage in The Gallery.

NATURE SQUARED IRIDESCENT OPULENCE

Nature Squared, a Swiss materials expert, envisioned working with a strong, progressive style in this Bespoke artwork. Over 3,000 iridescent tail feathers were hand-shaped to emphasise their lustre and vibrant colour. Then hand-sewn onto an open-pore cloth in a pattern inspired by The Gallery's heart: the clock.

HELEN AMY MURRAY WHISPERED MUSE

Whispered Muse displays a tranquil environment rising from a delicate organic structure at first look. Then a delicately draped feminine shape appears: the illusive Spirit of Ecstasy's wing. Her body is shrouded in mystery, revealed only by the delicate outline of her neck as it emerges from the edge of The Gallery.

BASED UPON A MOMENT IN TIME

Based Upon artists in London's East End began by imagining the Spirit of Ecstasy's shawl pouring over the automobile at high speed as a single instant in time. To construct the artwork, a swath of silk was drawn through a tank of water and photographed, then sculpted in clay and machined from solid aluminium for The Gallery.

NYPHENBURG IMMORTAL BEAUTY

One rose, produced specifically for Rolls-Royce in the English countryside, was airlifted to Southern Germany's Nymphenburg Palace. There, expert craftspeople from the world-renowned porcelain factory Nymphenburg observed it from bud to luxuriant blossom. Then handcrafted in the finest porcelain for The Gallery's beautiful retreat.

Liang Yanwei, an internationally known Chinese artist, has depicted the beautiful countryside of England, with its lush soil and fall layers of colour. Autumn Palette for The Gallery is a Bespoke work in which the paint seems almost sculpted, sculpting floral and geometric patterns and expertly capturing silk and satin textures.

THORSTEN FRANCK DIGITAL SOUL

Digital Soul is a creative expression of the DNA of its Patron. The procedure begins with a digital representation of the patron's personality, which is then transferred to stainless steel through 3D printing and finally coated in 24-carat gold. The piece responds to changing light conditions; each observer's experience will be unique, governed by their actual location inside Phantom.
