The Glitterati of the Fashion Industry Gather at Sartoria Studio in Soho

The finalists, presenters, and FGI family and friends who were invited to the exclusive Rising Star Awards pre-event party on Tuesday, April 4 ahead of the 27th annual awards ceremony.

With the formal announcement of the presenters for the 2023 FGI Rising Star Awards, which included keynote speaker Patricia Field and other notables including Nigel Barker, LaQuan Smith, Stefano Tonchi, and more, the nonprofit threw a party at the men's made-to-measure lounge Sartoria Studio.

The FGI Rising Star Awards would be held at the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers on May 8 2023

FGI President and CEO Maryanne Grisz, FGI board members James D'Adamo and Nicole Fischelis, and other well-heeled attendees including Rebecca Moses, Nick Graham, Musa Jackson, Bill McCuddy, Chris Lavish, Melissa Vale, Kate Smolianinova, Eileen Rhein, Karina Bik, Olga Ferrara, and Katya Tolstova, were all in attendance.

The Emerging Talent in Fashion, Accessories, Fine Jewelry, Sustainability, Beauty, and Collaborations Awards Ceremony is Scheduled for May 8, 2023.

Now in its 27th year, FGI's annual awards ceremony serves as a key extension of the organization's purpose to unite and assist the world's fashion diaspora by providing access to valuable resources and networks. Finalists often get their first taste of promoting their business via this competition. No one who has been in operation for more than six years may be nominated. Jason Wu, Tory Burch, Joseph Altuzarra, Phillip Lim, Brandon Maxwell, Thom Brown, Bond No. 9, Warby Parker, Dylan Lauren of Dylan's Candy Bar, Jennifer Fleiss, and Jennifer Hyman of Rent the Runway are just a few of the past winners who have gone on to greater fame and success in the fashion industry.

For the 2023 presentation, the prize categories for fashion, accessories, fine jewellery, beauty, sustainability, retail, collaborations, and related fields were updated to be more gender-inclusive.
