Carbon38 has launched its first tennis capsule collection in collaboration with EleVen by Venus Williams. This capsule serves as Carbon38’s first designer collaboration with an elite athlete.
The partnership between Carbon38, a multi-brand retailer, and EleVen by Venus Williams, developed naturally as both brands focus on female empowerment. The capsule was designed as a mix of true performance wear with technical features that support active pursuits and transitional pieces that can go beyond athleisure. The capsule features a variety of silhouettes in Carbon38’s signature Cloud Compression and Micro Terry fabrications with a bold color palette of sky aqua, peony, shibori plaid print and a neutral white.
“Carbon38 and EleVen share the same passion for empowering women, so our goal was to co-design a collection reflective of that,” said Williams in a statement. “I’m so proud of what we have created and hope it will inspire women to push themselves to reach new heights in all aspects of their life.”
“We are inspired by all Venus does, both on and off the court,” said Katie Warner Johnson, co-founder and CEO of Carbon38, in a statement. “Her mission with EleVen aligns with ours at Carbon38 - to empower women to embrace a new way of dressing, one that combines the DNA of activewear with beautiful ready-to-wear silhouettes. We couldn’t be happier with how the collection turned out and are excited to share it with our customers.”
The collection, with price points ranging from 78 dollars to 118 dollars, consists of 12 styles including tanks, sports bras, leggings, shorts, skirts, long- and short-sleeved crops, a tennis dress and a romper, along with a bucket hat and socks. Carbon38 x EleVen by Venus Williams is now available for purchase at Carbon38.com, EleVenByVenusWilliams.com, Nordstrom stores and online, and Zalando.
Carbon38 is a fast-growing activewear platform that launched in 2012 as athleisure became a growing category. Currently, their other designer partners include Balmain, Isabel Marant, and Nike.
