About Myaraa:
Namrata Lodha founded Myaraa in 2019 at the age of 52 in an effort to make eco-friendly accessories enjoyable again. This entrepreneurial journey began in a living room with a seed of an idea - (re)introduce the concept of headwear as an accessory, but with a distinct design element - and grew into a social media community with consumers in over 50 countries, from Germany to Australia.
These eco-friendly accoutrements are designed by Namrata, who was inspired by the natural grass fibre containers and tools from her childhood home in Madhya Pradesh. Currently, Myaraa's headwear are personalised with your name, a message, or the occasion. This production empowers rural women whose families disowned them for marrying outside of their community or for being widows. The company ensures that the social and economic empowerment of a woman is included with the purchase of a sun headgear made by rural women in India.
