British Luxury Car Maker Bentley Mulliner Honors Bathurst 12 Hour with Two Continental GT S Vehicles

The Ultimate Homage to The Legendary Bathurst

Two rare Bentley Continental GT S cars have paid tribute to the renowned Bathurst 12 Hour.

A pair of customised Bentleys inspired by the annual endurance race for GT and production vehicles, which Bentley won in 2020 with its Continental GT3 racer, were designed in partnership with Bentley Sydney.

The two vehicles have distinct specifications. The first is inspired on the winning racing car's livery, with a vivid Apple Green exterior and a Beluga black top, wing mirrors, lower bumper, and boot profile. According to the racer, the front appearance also features the number seven painted on the grille matrix.

The Styling Specification (front splitter, side skirts, and rear diffuser made of carbon fibre) provides an aggressive visual posture.

The inside has a combination of Leather and Dinamica in Beluga, accented with Apple Green micropiping and contrast stitching. "BATHURST" is embroidered on the headrests, and "One of Two" appears on the treadplates. The carbon fibre technical finish fascias on the passenger side include a distinctive metal overlay highlighting the circuit, and the central console has the names of the successful drivers together with the winning number seven.

The second vehicle is painted Silver Tempest to commemorate the arrival of the second-generation Continental GT3 in late 2017, which began participating in 2018. The second vehicle is identical to the first, with black chrome, the carbon fibre Styling Specification, and a custom interior.

Bentley’s 2020 Bathurst Victory

The Continental GT has proved its incredible versatility on both the road and the track, most notably by winning the 2020 Bathurst 12 Hour in Continental GT3 configuration. Maxime Soulet (BEL), Jordan Pepper (ZAF), and Jules Gounon (FRA) drove the No. 7 Continental GT3 to victory in the inaugural round of the 2020 Intercontinental GT Challenge, after starting in P11.

The vehicle advanced rapidly through the ranks to contend for the podium. The vehicle ran smoothly for a total of seven hours thanks to the world-class performances of Soulet, Pepper, and Gounon, as well as the team's excellent strategy and pit stops. The team's last step to position the vehicle for victory was a brilliant response pit stop little over one hour before the finish to repair a flat tyre. The Bathurst 12 Hour was won by the #7 Continental GT3 following a half-day sprint, despite the threat of precipitation and ambient temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius. As they received the checkered flag, the crew established a new record for the lenght of the race with 314 laps, before the skies opened and the team celebrated in the rain.
