Amit Aggarwal x Nothing - When Fashion Meets the Future at Lakme Fashion Week 2025

A Fusion of Visionaries Mumbai, 28 March 2025

Designer Amit Aggarwal, known for pushing boundaries, joined forces with trailblazing tech brand Nothing to present an unforgettable showcase at Lakmé Fashion Week in Partnership with FDCI. More than a runway moment, this was an intersection of minimalism, heritage, and modern innovation—brought to life through his latest prêt collection, inspired by the newly launched Nothing Phone (3a).

Tech-Inspired Fashion Takes Form

Nothing’s design ethos - where tech is celebrated, not hidden - sparked a line that reflects the same transparency, intention, and quiet boldness. The result? A prêt collection that blends heritage Indian craftsmanship with futuristic aesthetics, fluid forms, and dynamic structure. At the heart of it lies a dialogue between clarity and complexity.

A New Kind of Wardrobe

Aggarwal’s collection leans into effortless dressing, yet never shies away from drama. Cropped jackets, asymmetric drapes, lightweight separates, and bold layering pieces give wearers the freedom to style it their way. Structured yet soft, classic yet subversive, this is wardrobe versatility reimagined - with pieces that transition from day to night, tradition to tech.

Symbols of Reinvention

Flowing through the collection are infinity motifs, reflecting endless possibility and reinvention. Luxe fabrics in jewel tones - emerald, ruby, amethyst - are elevated with metallic finishes, playful sequins on footwear, and clever detailing. Every element is intentional, yet invites spontaneity.

At the core of the collection is Banaras brocade, a time-honoured textile refreshed through Amit’s signature handwoven polymer detailing. This blend of the ancient and the avant-garde results in fashion that is both emotionally resonant and future-facing.

The Runway, Reimagined

Breaking convention, the show blurred backstage and stage, transforming the preparation space into the performance itself. Models integrated the Nothing Phone (3a) into their looks - not as accessories, but as statements of digital self-expression.

“This collection is about freedom - clothes that move with you, evolve with you, and express who you are,”

“Technology should be as artistic as it is functional. This collaboration captures the warmth of craft and the clarity of tech—what we call ‘Technical Warmth."

A Star-Studded Affair

The night drew fashion’s most celebrated names. Malaika Arora, Vijay Verma, and Uorfi Javed graced the front row, alongside Alizeh Agnihotri, Zahaan Kapoor, Pashmina Roshan, and Anjali Sivaraman. Industry icons Ujwala Raut, Richa Moorjani, Jessel Tank, Ida Ali, and Alioune completed the glittering guest list—underscoring the night’s powerful cultural impact.
